Empowered Pregnancy
Chiropractic care throughout pregnancy removes interference to the mother’s nervous system, enhancing the baby’s development and uterine function.
Adjustments can also increase mom’s brain and body connection, creating a well-balanced environment for both mommy and baby to grow.

When a woman becomes pregnant, her body undergoes amazing changes to accommodate the growth of her child. However, some of these changes can cause discomfort if they lead to misalignments in the spine. Increases in the hormone relaxin represent one of these changes. This hormone allows the ligaments to soften and stretch, allowing for the pelvis to move throughout the stages of pregnancy. If the body releases too much, the pelvis becomes misaligned and creates stress on the uterus.
The Webster Technique
This chiropractic adjustment focuses on the sacrum, the pelvis, and the muscles and ligaments connecting to them. Our goal aims to release the torque on the uterus due to either lumbar spine or sacroiliac joint misalignment. When pelvic misalignment occurs, the muscles and ligaments that connect the uterus to the sacrum begin to pull unevenly. The constraint restricts the area where the baby freely moves leading to issues in the baby’s fetal position in the 34th week. However, the Webster technique corrects the alignment allowing for pelvic balance and optimal fetal positioning. Furthermore, Dr. Michael Sosa has been certified by The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and awarded a Certificate of Proficiency in the Webster Technique.
Chiropractic adjustments can help relieve these tensions and allow for a more comfortable pregnancy for both the mother and baby. We look forward to becoming a part of your birth team! The Webster Technique can help with:
Controlling pregnancy health and nausea
Improving sleep
Relieving muscle and ligament tension
Reducing knee, ankle or feet swelling
Relieving back, neck and joint pain
Reducing SPD and improving pelvis balance
Enhancing the fetal position
Minimizing labor and delivery time
Postnatal Chiropractic Care
After birth, a woman’s body undergoes many amazing changes again. Chiropractic adjustments can help keep the spine in proper alignment as her body restores from giving birth. Shoulder pain and cervical misalignments caused by continuous looking down at her baby can be relieved through chiropractic care, as well as any headaches or fatigue from sleepless nights.
Through chiropractic care, babies can benefit from a well-functioning nervous system and properly aligned spine from day one. Nervous system interferences in infants can cause colic, irritability, poor sleeping habits, or trouble breastfeeding. When a baby cannot latch properly, there may be a communication problem between the brain and the suck-swallow reflex. A gentle adjustment can get the joints moving, clearing the interference, which opens the communication pathways that allow the tongue and throat muscles to work properly.
